Claudio Memoli's Obituary
Claudio Memoli, 98, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on January 17, 2023. Claudio was born the youngest of eight boys in Brooklyn, NY, on June 12th, 1924 to Italian immigrant parents, Rosa DeFeo and Alberto Memoli. He served in the Navy during WWII stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii. Claudio, better known as Cloudy by his family and friends, is preceded in death by the love of his life, Dolores Concetta Manzella, with whom he was blessed with 68 years of marriage. Claudio is survived by his children, Denise (Randall) Pringle, Diane (Scott) Lampitt, Debi (Michael) Mahr, and Claude (Debbie) Memoli; his grandchildren, Jessica (Blain) Lindsey, Erica Anderson, Scott Anderson, Alysa Memoli, and his great-great grandchildren, Harper, Emilio, and Lucia and his many nieces and nephews.
Claudio and Dolores raised their family in Massapequa, Long Island, NY. He was proud of his career at Grumman Aerospace Corporation, Bethpage, NY, where he had the opportunity to work on the Apollo Lunar Module. He retired to Fort Myers, FL in 1977 where he continued to work and assist his children and in-law’s with various construction projects.
He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-great grandfather. Family was everything to him. While his loving legacy lives on, he will be missed.
