Clayden W. Clarke was born November 16, 1925 in Manchester Jamaica, West Indies to Clayden Sr. and Sarah Clarke.After graduation from Manchester High School he entered the Police Academy and served 6 years. In 1952, he traveled to England and attended college in Scotland where he graduated as a chemical engineer. He worked in the mining industry for 24 years. Clayden migrated to the United States in 1978, where he married Perlyn on June 13, 1978. He worked with Con Ed Electric Company and then later moved to Florida where he worked in the mining industry and private security.Clayden is survived by his loving wife, two sisters, one brother, many nieces, nephews and two daughters by a previous marriage.He loved church and worked well with the other members, he also enjoyed playing darts. Clayden will be forever missed by all who knew him.A Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at St. Anselm’s Episcopal Church, 2201 E. 6th Street, Lehigh Acres, FL 33936. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 9:00 AM until service time at the church. Entombment will follow at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will have a reception at the Colonial Family Center at the cemetery, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft.
