Clint R Kelly's Obituary
Clint R Kelly, 95, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011. He was born in Shobonier, Illinois, to Ira Kelly and Alpha Alta Andrews in 1915. Clint is predeceased by his loving wife, Evelyn (Susie); his two brothers, Ira and George; and two sisters Edna and Eva,?áand both parents.?á Clint was a graduate of Illinois Teachers College. He was a life long member Of NEA and other organizations. Mr. Kelly lived a very full life. He had many interests and things he loved about life, the greatest being his wife, Sue. They both loved teaching children. After retirement, they traveled extensively in their Airstream trailer, visiting all 48 states, Alaska and Mexico. Clint wrote over 40 books of ?ápoetry and prose, since New Years Eve 2000, when he made a resolution to write every day. He went home to the Lord, peacefully, knowing he was meeting Susie. Clint is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Richard Cooke and his wife Kay, ?áand a special caregiver and frien, Fran Warserman. Memorials may be made to the Cape Coral Museum, a place of love for Clint, culminating in a building named ?Ç£The Clint and Sue Kelly?Ç¥ building. The family will be receiving guests from 12-2 on Monday April 4, 2011 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd. Fort Myers, Fl 33907. (239) 936-0555.
