Connie Sue Hood's Obituary
Connie Sue Hood, better known simply as Sue by her family and friends, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, June 13, 2020 following some recent health challenges. She was 76 years old.
Sue was born in Tollesboro, Kentucky on June 16, 1943, the beautiful daughter to Willetha (Donley) and Bruce Graham Applegate Jr. She was the devoted wife to and leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Joe R. Hood. Sue also leaves behind her sons Dennis Hood (Mary) and Kelly Hood; grandchildren Dylan Hood, Haylee Hood, Katlyn Hood and Hunter Hood and her sister Debi Applegate.
A Funeral Service for Sue will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends will be received for Visitation for an hour and one-half preceding this ceremony beginning at 10:30 AM also inside the funeral home chapel. At the conclusion of these services, guests will be dismissed to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Sue will be laid to rest inside the Christus Garden section of the cemetery.
