Curtis E. Dunn's Obituary
Curtis E. Dunn, 83, of North Fort Myers passed away on January 5, 2013. Born in Alabama, Curtis moved to Florida in 1947. He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the Navy on the U.S.S. Worchester. The railroad was his career, but his life-long passion was music. He started playing country music in a small Baptist Church in Hernando. He landed a job playing music on WINK-TV during the mid 50?ÇÖs on a program called Reeves and Sons Town & Country Show. He is listed in the Florida Country Music Association?ÇÖs Hall of Fame and is a multiple award winning member. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Rosemary; children, Karen (Max) Ashley, Laura Krohn, Curt Jr.; grandson, Joshua Krohn; sister, Ruth Martin; brother, Glen Dunn; and nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Monday, January 14th, with the memorial service to start at 12:00 noon at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donate to your place of worship or charity.
