Dale Lester Pickett's Obituary
Dale Lester Pickett, 95, of North Fort Myers passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020, with his loving wife Sharon by his side. Dale was born October 9, 1924 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Raymond L. and Avis A. (Millen) Pickett.
Dale was a U.S. Army veteran and proudly served in Europe during WWII. After serving his country, he returned to Kalamazoo, Michigan, got married and started their family. He was employed as a graphic artist, and ultimately started his own graphic arts company, Dale Pickett Associates. Dale will be remembered for his love of family, and his wonderful sense of humor. He remained active and vital until a week before his death. During his long life, Dale had a positive impact on many people.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Garnaat) Pickett and her three grandchildren who Dale loved like his own children: Madison Young, Hunter Scherer and Fischer Crump. Dale will also be greatly missed by surviving children, Susan Millen, Debbie (Doug) Wells and Steve (Tammy) Pickett, and his grandchildren Hali Pickett, Michael Fatzinger and Jessica Rhoades. Dale is also survived by two step-daughters: Angela Young and Rebecca Young; as well as step-grandchildren, Taylor Branham and Cassidy Richards, and three great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Rosella (Gewiss) Pickett, their daughter Lonni Pickett, his brothers Cliff and Wayne, and 2 sisters, Joyce Hines and Gloria Morgan. He was also predeceased by step-daughter Rachel Lowe.

A Memorial service in memory of Dale will be held 1:00 pm Friday, October 9, 2020 at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park South; 3941 S. Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49008.
