Dale Wayne Smith, 64, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on March 11, 2012 in Fort Myers, FL.?á Mr. Smith was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 29, 1947, a son of the late James Travis Smith and Dorothy Trowbridge Smith. Dale was employed in the Sales and Marketing Industry, mainly in the glass and mirror business which he thoroughly enjoyed.?á He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany and was honorably discharged.?á Dale was of Lutheran faith.?á He loved sports especially baseball, football, track and tennis and had been a participant for many years in these sports.?á He was a great communicator and enjoyed traveling. Dale was also a member of the Elks Lodge. He had resided here since 1988 coming from Atlanta, Georgia.?á He is survived by his daughter, Tami (Tracy) Smith of Franklin, TN; ?áhis grandson, Tyler Smith and granddaughter Presley Smith; his siblings, Carol Bewig and Pam Bakula both of St. Louis, MO and Bruce Smith of Tacoma, Washington; several nieces and nephews. There are no funeral services scheduled by the family at this time.
