My daughter had Ms Sanner last year at Gulf. She loved her and her goofy way of teaching with making the educational science songs, they ended up being catchy and easy to remember. Ms Sanner was amazing and also willing to get to know her students. Hope you are at peace.
I was in Mrs. Sanner’s class in my 7th grade year. She was one of the strongest people I have ever met. She has gone through so much but she didn’t want pity, she was happy to be here. She was a certain light energy in the room with her guitar and all of her songs in the middle of science class. I would still see her in the halls and she would just be so happy to see everyone! It doesn’t feel real that she is gone, that everything everyone loved about her, is no more: but it is. I will always remember her and I feel like she was one the most influential teachers i have had. Rest in forever peace Mrs. Sanner. We love you.
I am so sorry to hear this news. Dana was a coworker and my son Luke's favorite Middle School teacher! He still talks about how awesome she was! She was my secret Santa one year and gave me rocks. I loved them and she knew I would!! One of my favorite Christmas gifts ever...I will treasure them always.

I recently met Dana this year, while working with her in our science department. She was a wonderful addition to our department and could be counted on for help as needed. I know her students loved her and will miss her too.

While working with Dana at The Sanibel School, she blinded me with science! The epitome of passion and dedication to not just teaching but reaching the kids was consistent despite her health struggles. The force was and remains strong with this one!
