Dana Taylor's Obituary
Mr. Dana Michael (better known as Mike) Taylor, age 61, of N. Fort Myers and also of Blairsville, GA, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at his home following a brief illness. Mr. Taylor was born on September 18, 1947 in Freeport, IL, the son of the late Clifford Taylor and the late June McCrossen Taylor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War. He was a loving husband and father. Mr. Taylor was of the Catholic faith.Surviving Mr. Taylor is his loving wife of nineteen years, Pauline Champion Taylor of N. Fort Myers and Blairsville, GA, one daughter, Brittney Taylor of N. Ft. Myers, one son, Adam of Texas, mother-in-law, Pauline Champion of N. Fort Myers, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Lynn Champion of Largo, FL, two nieces, Jenna and Kaley Champion, one nephew, Nicholas Champion and many other relatives and friends.A memorial service will be held to celebrate Mr. Taylor’s life on May 16, 2009 at 4:00 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida in memory of Mr. Taylor.
