Daniel Anderson, 78, of Fort Myers, FL, died April 30, 2015, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral.Cremation rites are to be accorded.Memorials: World Gospel Mission, 3783 East State Rd 18, PO Box 948, Marion, IN 46952.Daniel was born December 27, 1936, in Azusa, CA, the son of James Daniel and Dorothy (Elwinger) Anderson. He married Barbara Stovall in 1955, and she preceded him in death in 1988. He then married Virginia Mae Taylor in 2005, and she preceded him in death on June 29, 2014.Daniel was a missionary. He was with the World Gospel Mission for many years. He served as a missionary to American Indians in Arizona. He also served as a coach and was an excellent baseball pitcher. He loved serving God and mankind and mentored many young men and helped to shape them into the men they are today.He was very friendly and outgoing, and always had a smile for everyone.Surviving are his children, James Daniel Anderson III of Glendale, AZ; David Blake Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO; Jo Ellen Dina Anderson-Townsend of Glendale, AZ; and Kristine Michele Anderson-McComb of Glendale, AZ; step children, Virginia Christine Miller-Thomas of Fort Myers, FL, and Deborah Gail Miller-Clack of Caddo Mills, TX; sister, Pat (Forrest) Turner of California; and grandchildren, Christopher, David, Alix, Jacob, Sami, Davey, Blake, and Kristin.Also preceding in death are his parents and siblings, Peggy (Bruce) Greenwood, Joanne (Dave) Cole, and Ted Anderson.
