Daniel Paul Hohenstein, 72, of Fort Myers, FL, died May 25, 2015 at Gulf Coast Medical Center. Cremation rites are to be accorded. Memorials: National Stroke Association / stroke.org Daniel was born November 5, 1942, in Chicago, IL, the son of Henry and Helen (Callahan) Hohenstein. He married Dorothy Powell on March 3, 1967. Daniel worked as a custodian for Lee County Public Schools for many years. He enjoyed golf, boating and fishing. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Hohenstein; children, Daniel D. Hohenstein (Chris) of Arvada, CO, Caren Bland of CA, Jerry Krogman (John) of Fort Myers; siblings, Ronald Hohenstein (Judy) of Henderson, NV, Charlotte Hundrieser of Chicago, Thomas Hohenstein (Anita) of Chicago; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Mary Lalowski.
