Destinee Torres
Danny was a longtime friend of my Grandma Maria. She says he was not only her brother in Christ, but also like a blood brother to her. He was always there for her no matter the reason; big or small.
When I lived with my grandmother for a short while as a teenager, Danny took the time to disciple me and talk with me about Christ. He was always charismatic and funny, and he really knew how to communicate kindly and get on my level; which can be hard to do with teens. He spent time fishing with me which was the one of my favorite things to do, and it was one of my fondest memories with him! I am now 26, and I have a relationship with Jesus that I am grateful for; Danny helped plant that seed from the start. “While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And he said to them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.’ Immediately they left their nets and followed him.”
Matthew 4:18-20 ESV
We will miss you Danny, and your big smile! Thank you for your ministry, and we will see you in Christ again, brother!
