Danielle L. DiBenedetto's Obituary
3/30/1965 – 3/7/2015 Danielle “Dani” was born in Riverton, Wyoming – Danielle Lynn Schamber on March 30th, 1965 born to Vickie Miller and Karol Ray Schamber. She lost her battle to colon cancer on Saturday, March 7th 2015 under the care of Hope Hospice surrounded by her family and close friends. Danielle graduated from Gateway High School in Aurora, Co in 1983. Danielle became a hair dresser at the age of 18 Although she was born in Wyoming, and later moved to Colorado she lived most of her life in SW Florida. Danielle was married to Joseph DiBenedetto on June 11th, 1999. She gave birth to their son Dominick on March 15th, 2001. In 1988 she attended Edison Community College she graduated from the EMT program and joined Lee County EMS where she was part of their family for eight years. Danielle graduated from the Ft Myers Fire Academy in 1995 and later became a member of South Trail Fire Department for 18+ years. She received the Phoenix Award (Life Saving) during her time as a fire fighter/paramedic at South Trail. November 30th, 2007 Danielle received Excellence in EMS, June 2nd 2008 she received Recognition for Outstanding performance on a cardiac arrest emergency resulting in life saving. January 2011 Danielle received the Spot Award – “A” Shift Station 63 for painting the station and taking pride and ownership through professionalism, dedication and commitment. Danielle also continued to cut and style hair for many clients and friends throughout the years. Danielle enjoyed a variety of craft projects, making stain glass, and searching for “hidden treasures” at garage sales. She never missed an opportunity to dress for Halloween, and decorate elaborately for all holidays. Danielle was a very giving person and would do anything for anyone. Danielle is survived by her parents Vickie Miller, Karol Ray & Anita Schamber, loving husband Joe of almost 16 years, and son Dominick, brother Chad, step-daughters Jami (Carlos), and Juliann (Darmarcus), grandchildren Jessi, Julian (Jami) and Isabella, Jailen (Juliann), a step-brother, step-sisters and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, her beloved pets “Ringo”, Missy, and Jenny. Pre-deceased by grandparents Raymond & Maxine Schamber, and Vick & Pauline Miller.
