Darl Edward Lukins' Obituary
Darl Edward Lukins was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on August 26, 1927, the second of three children of Floyd James Lukins and Letha Lewis Lukins. He served in the Navy in 1945 aboard the USS Wm. M. Wood. Working as a disc jockey for a time, he went on to work for IBM as a field engineer for 32 years. Darl was a rock and mineral enthusiast and silversmith. In his retirement he shared his interest and knowledge with the students at Bonita Elementary School.Darl Edward Lukins was a caring and giving soul that was our wonderful and beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, great-grandfather, neighbor and friend. Hard working, interested in everything, loving to laugh, devoted to his family; all this and so much more he gave, and will always be with us. We will miss you and remember you—-always.
