Darry "Doc" Griebel's Obituary
Darry D. Griebel, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away on Tuesday, April 6th. He was originally from Davenport (Lost Nation), Iowa and had been a resident of Florida since 1970. He was 78 years old.
Darry was affectionately known as “Doc”; and lived up to that name by providing the best veterinary care to any animal he came across be it in the office or at home. He was also a dedicated sports fan, acting as umpire in many baseball games, and as a referee in basketball as well. Doc was also a member of the Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years Della; sons Dean, Wesley, Brandon, Bronson, and Ryan; 3 grandchildren; sisters Nola and Larita; brothers Dave and Jim; and many other extended family members and numerous pets through the years.
Services for Doc will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
