David Marshall Anders' Obituary
David Marshall Anders, 80, of Fort Myers, FL, died July 7, 2014 at Health Park Medical Center, Fort Myers. David was born June 29, 1934 in Fries, VA, the son of Gilbert and Rennie Anders, who preceded him. David was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force serving from June 9, 1955 to April 1, 1978 ( a total of 22 years, 9 months and 22 days ). He served as a Staff Sgt. in Medical Administration. He served in Vietnam and earned 2 Air Force Commendations, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campain Medal Branze Cluster and Air Force Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Anders was survived by his wife Armandina; his son, Jesus DaSilva of Tampa; daughter Esther Vivancos of Phoenix, AZ; sister Dorothy Bonds of Fries, VA; five grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilmer Lee “Buck” Anders, Millard J. Anders; two sisters Lucille Neaves and Sylvia Harden. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, July 11, 2014 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL . The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens. Memorials have been suggested to a charity of the donors choice.
