David W. Critchlow's Obituary
David W. Critchlow, 92, of Cape Coral, FL passed away July 24,2020. He was born on September 21, 1927 in Allegheny County, PA to William H. Critchlow and Ruth A. Houggy Critchlow.
He married Almira Jane Kennedy in 1946.They had 3 children together and were married for 56 years when she passed in 2002. David raised and showed “Show” ponies as a young man and also was an OTR trucker until he retired. He was a member of the Western PA teamsters.He moved to Florida full time in 2011, after being a “snowbird” for many years.David enjoyed golf, fishing and hunting as a younger man, then became an avid bowler in Florida, where he most recently bowled on the Heron’s Glen League. He attended Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church in North Fort Myers
He is survived by son Bruce E. Critchlow and his wife Suellen Critchlow; Nancy Critchlow daughter-in-law; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by sister Esther Long, wife “Jane” Critchlow, son Dale E. Critchlow and daughter Cheryl Lynn Solo.
A Private Family Service will be held at Mt Royal Cemetery, 2700 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116 on date to be announced. His interment will be in the Mausoleum at Mt Royal Cemetery.
