David Michael Davidson's Obituary
David Michael Davidson (“Mike”), age 81, of Fort Myers, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Hope Hospice Center in Lehigh Acres, Florida.
Mike was born on February 13, 1945, in Fort Myers, Florida, the son of the late Paul and Sylvia Davidson.
Mike was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a graduate of Florida State University. After becoming a Christian in 1975, he pursued his calling to ministry by attending Florida Christian College, where he earned a degree in preaching. Mike faithfully served in ministry at Live Oak Christian Church and Belleview Christian Church, both in Florida. He also served as a missionary in Haiti, spending over a year working at Christianville. Throughout his life, he ministered to many in the Fort Myers area, including at Southside Christian Church, San Carlos Christian Church, and First Christian Church.
Mike had a deep and eclectic love for music and literature, and he enjoyed working with computers and solving IT problems. Above all, he loved studying and teaching the Bible, continually growing in his faith and encouraging others to know Christ more deeply.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Ann Davidson; his brothers, Lawrence Mitchell Davidson and Lee Marshal Davidson; his daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda and Todd Sharp, and Christie and Cory Lauscher; and his cherished grandchildren, Emma Long, Seth Sharp, Kendall Lauscher, Kaylin Leon, and Kami Lauscher.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 pm at Rise Christian Church, 50 Bell Blvd. N., Lehigh Acres, Florida, on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Friends and family are invited to join in this time of remembrance, reflection, and celebration. Light refreshments will be served immediately following the service.
