David Herzog's Obituary
David Henry Herzog 92, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2022. He was born in Alva, FL, the son of Frederick Otto and Zola Herzog. He was a Florida native and lived in Lee County his entire life. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force 8th Division and served during WWII. He was a General Contractor since 1952 and built many homes and commercial buildings and had his office on Sanibel Island. He loved to fish and go to coin shows, spend time in Western NC, where he had a second home at one time.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Zola Herzog; his brothers Otto and Albert; and his sisters Jewel and Annie. He is survived by his children Susan Larson, Sandra Herzog, Shari Herzog and Steve Herzog and his wife Lisa. Also, his grandchildren, Tonya Herzog, Sonya Herzog, Courtney Smith, David Smith and his wife Yuri, great grandchildren, Kyle, Brent, Elizabeth, Ricky, Kaiden, step great grandchildren Candance and Julian and great great grandchildren Willow and River.
Burial will take place on February 12, 2022, at Fort Myers Memorial Garden and the service will be private.
