David Ornato Sr's Obituary
David Ornato, Sr. died peacefully in bed next to his beloved wife, Theresa (Richitelli) Ornato the morning of April 6, 2021. He was born October 5, 1925 in New Haven, CT. His parents Joe and Mary (Conte) Ornato grew up four faithful and loving children, Marion (Testa), Pat, George and Dave. He was a 1st generation American who serviced his country proudly in WWII.
After marrying Theresa they had two sons, DJ and Richard. Dave and Theresa remained very close to their always growing extended families, enjoying decades of fun together. Dave helped employ many in the family at his photofinishing factory. He worked six days a week and he passed down a strong work ethic to all. He led by example and gave us our core values; family first, work hard, be respectful and show kindness to others.
He leaves many that loved him behind, his two sons, DJ and his wife Debbie and Richard and his wife Tami; 2 granddaughters, Kristin (Anthony) and Kara (Alex); four beloved great grandchildren, Antonio, Dante, Luca and Sebastian; his dear friends, Pam and John; as well as his caregivers, Nadi, Frances and Lourna.
His soul lives on in all of us.
