I am so sad to hear of the passing of Dave. He was a great friend back here in UK, and we shared a group of friends that I will never forget. Meeting up for a few beers at the Wellington, in Darley, with Pat Sifford, Tony Kitchen, Robert Booth and the rest.
However I have a very special memory of David, and the friendship and moral support that he gave me during the difficult days of my marriage break up. It was a shattering time for me, but Dave came to the rescue. The worst time was on the day Of Princess Diana's funeral service, and I was at my lowest, Dave took charge, and he took me on a special trip up Wharfedale, where we had a memorable lunch, just outside Burnsall, and he spent the whole day lifting me of my depression. He talked me through my difficulties, and put me on the road to recovery.
This act of kindness was so special to me and I will never, ever, forget it.
Rest In Peace Dave, and I will say a few prayers for the passing of a great man!

Susan and I are so sorry to hear about David. Yall were my Thursday night friends when I was in College. Roddy and David had been high-school friends. I can remember when they were encouraging him to date you. Has saddened us very much. God bless you and your family.
We were saddened to learn of Dave's passing. He was a wonderful person and a good friend. We have many memories of our time with you overseas in the 1970s and then later on in Maryland. We'll never forget the fun we had as your bowling partners on the Tuesday Night League. It was a good thing we had Dave as our anchor. Dave will be missed by all who knew him. Please accept our sympathy and love. Jim & Jan Withers.
My sincere condolences to a very good person, with whom I had the honor of working with in several assignments. May Dave rest in peace. A life well lived.

So sorry for our loss. I knew David and Margie and remember them as wonderful and kind people. May God embrace and welcome him into his kingdom.
Oh, how very sorry I am to hear this news. I have such fond memories of David with Margie Brown at West Georgia. They were constantly together as we had many fun times playing rook at the student center between classes and pranking each other on trips to Atlanta. Such fun. He and Margie Brown were meant for each other from the start. It was obvious. My thoughts and prayers, and love, MB, always.
David is my first cousin and my favorite. I am one year older and my father and his father were brothers. They were both in the navy during WW2. David and I played baseball together in Bremen. We used to stay together and play war games. He was a great friend, although we did not see each other very often, since he moved to England and then Maryland. Whenever we did see each other, it was like we had lived next door all our lives. I wished that we had stayed in touch more often. We both have sons named John and granddaughters named Grace.
I can honestly say that I loved David Posey.
Sincerely,
Derrell Posey
