Dad, I miss you so much. I want to call you every morning and have our special talks and time together even though many miles separated us. You have been a solid force in my life and a gentle soul. Dean was my stepfather too. I will miss him terribly . I'm so glad my grandkids finally got to meet him earlier this year. I am thankful that he was a part of my life for more than 40 years.
Dean was my stepfather but treated me more like a father, a grandfather to my four sons and great grandfather to my 9 grandchildren. He had the patience of a Saint and I never heard him say a mean thing about anyone. He always treated my mom with loving care and was always by her side. He will be surely missed by all of us who knew and loved him. May he rest in piece.

My Grandpa Dean Echols was loving, compassionate, selfless, and kind. He was also the provider of a lifetime of memorable jokes that everyone around him treasured. People that knew him would say he could put a smile on their face with a single one-liner. I am grateful for the time we had together and for the memories we created as a family.
