DeAnne M. Smith, 83, of Fort Myers, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at The Springs at South Biscayne in North Port, FL. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Friday, June 16, 2017 at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church. Family will gather with friends one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will take place at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Memorials: Tidewell Hospice DeAnne was born November 22, 1933 in Joliet, IL, the daughter of Gerald and Dolores (Leibreich) Bauer. She married Charles Smith, 1953, in Cincinnati, OH. She was a member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church. DeAnne leaves behind to help cherish her memory her children, Deborah A. Messmer (David) of Cincinatti, OH, Denise Hollen (Ed Deiter) Port Charlotte, FL, Danielle Smith of Bonita Springs, FL; grandchildren, Diane Smeenk, Clayton Hollen, Sarah Butz, Cody Hollen; great grandchildren, Addison Smeenk and Alyssa Smeenk. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 62 years, Charles. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of DeAnne.
