Denise Black's Obituary
Denise Black, age 66, recently of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017. She was born July 2, 1951 in Fall River, Massachusetts, lived in Newport, Tiverton, and Bristol, Rhode Island, and moved to Florida 2011. She was the oldest of four siblings born to Edward and Lorraine Desrosiers. She is preceded in death by her brother Steven Desrosiers. She is survived by her husband David Black, Jennifer M. Strollo (daughter), Tyler & Nathan Massud (grandchildren), Matthew Desrosiers (brother), Andrew Desrosiers (brother) and several nieces and nephews. Her working career was in social work in many different capacities and worked within the restaurant, catering and hospitality industries. She also worked in real estate, overseas business consulting and withheld many other adventurous career endeavors. She was a long-time volunteer and gardener at Blithewold Mansion in Bristol, Rhode Island and volunteer at the Fall River Historical Society. Denise enjoyed cooking, watching classic movies and reading biographies and memoirs. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and by her beloved dog Baji and cat Hopi.
