Dennis A. Mikulski's Obituary
Dennis A. Mikulski of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at Hope Hospice-Joanne’s House of Bonita Springs, Florida. He was 66. Dennis was born September 15, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Frank and Lorraine Mikulski. After retiring from ITW Signode in Glenview, IL at an early age, Dennis purchased a resort near Branson, MO where he enjoyed his boat and the beautiful lakes that surrounded him. From Missouri, Dennis moved to Florida and was able to spend more time playing golf and fishing than anything else. For the past 16 years, Dennis worked as a Hardscape Manager for Shadow Wood. Dennis was also a talented woodworker who spent endless hours making anything from cutting boards to custom made furniture. He proudly served as a Specialist-4 in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He volunteered his time and talents with C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team) and N.O.A.A. (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). He will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Anne Lottsgaarden. Dennis is survived by his lifelong companion, Cindee Addessi; his two children, Dan F. Mikulski and Dawn (John) Kempf; and his sister, Lois (Donald) Feist. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Christiana, Anthony and Dominic. A Celebration of Life will be held 4pm-6pm Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at The Commons Club at The Brooks, 9960 Coconut Rd, Estero, FL 34135. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Joanne’s House at Hope Hospice 27200 Imperial Parkway, Bonita Springs, FL 34135. Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is serving the family.
