Denver Lee Damron's Obituary
Denver Lee Damron, 62, of North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on April 13, 2026.
Born on May 2, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio, Denver was the son of Fredrick B. and Genna R. (Childres) Damron. He carried his Ohio roots with him throughout his life while building meaningful connections and lasting memories along the way.
Denver was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick B. and Genna R. Damron, and his older brother, Arthur B. Damron.
He is survived by his lifelong partner of 27 years, Linda Gartee, who remained by his side through life’s many chapters. In her words, “Denver was my life for 27 years. I will miss him every day.” Their bond was one of deep love, companionship, and unwavering support.
He is also survived by his three daughters: Rae Damron and her two children; Alexis Dawson and her three children; and Krystal Spradlin and her two children. The love he had for them will continue to be carried forward through each of them.
Denver will be remembered for his kind heart and the way he showed up for others. He greeted each day as an opportunity to help those around him, especially his friends, and found joy in the simple things—like spending time at the beach and visiting the fair.
Though he is no longer with us, Denver’s memory will live on in the lives he touched, the kindness he shared, and the love he gave so freely.
