Descota Shane Hillard of North Fort Myers, Florida, better known simply as "D" to his family and friends, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 22, 2024 following a tragic motor vehicle accident. He was 25 years old.
Descota was born in Peoria, Illinois on June 18, 1998 and was the proud son to father Shane Hillard and mother Denise Rios. He was a beloved child and hardworking man who owned and operated his own mobile home installation business called Down Under Mobile Home Services based out of North Fort Myers, Florida. The most important thing in his life, however, was being a Dad to his son and the light of his life, Kaiden David Hillard.
Descota always cherished being around the people he loved and who loved him back. No doubt he feels great sadness in leaving behind his son Kaiden and not being surrounded by his great circle of family and long time friends such as Kaiden's mother Bridget Duncan of Fort Myers, Florida; his Dad and Stepmom Shane and Chrissy (Rogers) Hillard of Marquette Heights, Illinois; His Mom and Stepdad Denise (Strange) Rios and Jesus Rios of Newark, Illinois and his siblings: brothers David Hillard and Jack Hillard, sister Allyson Nelms, brothers Jesus Rios and Robert Rios; his Grandma Candace Summers and Grandma Jeanie Strange. Descota also leaves to cherish his memory a large extended family and a great multitude of friends. He will be always warmly remembered and fondly missed.
