Diane Marie Mutter's Obituary
Diane Mutter or her preferred name "Lady Di" of Fort Myers, FL suddenly went home to be with her Creator on Wed, Oct. 27, 2021 at the young age of 72.
Diane was born on Feb. 11, 1949, in Oshkosh, WI to Eugene and Dawn Lind. Although a native of WI, she prefered the lifestyle of shorts and flip flops and moved to Florida 20 plus years ago. Everywhere she went Diane lit up the room. Customers at Annies Restaurant and her special students at school (that she poured her heart and soul into) will always remember her committment to them, her award winning smile and her sparkling personality.
Her passion was always on the dance floor in her stilettos with her water on the rocks. On October 27th she graduated her dance to the streets of gold in her golden stilettos ❤
Diane was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by her surviving family! Her children: Michele Mutter in WI, Rod (Carin) Mutter in Brazil, Jerod Mutter in New Jersey, Brad Mutter (Katie) in WI and the father of her children Curtis Mutter in MI. Grandchildren: Cody Rousseau (Amber) in WI, Hunter (Riley) of WI, Gui & Amanda Mutter in Brazil, Abigail Mutter in New Jersey. One greatgrandchild Blake of WI.
Diane is also survived by one sister: Lori (Randy) King in WI, brothers: Michael (Delores) Smerling in WI, Dann Baugh in MI, Kurt Meyer in CA, Zel (Pam) Lind in AZ, Dane (Nadia) Lind in AZ. Her dearest friends include Debbie Noonan & Audrey Hartsfeld both in Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Diane was a shining example of living life to the fullest and a reminder that there is always a reason to dance!
It is difficult to put into words the impact Lady Di had on the world and what she meant to those around her, but her family has found comfort in the following verse authored by Deborah Noonon which is entitled "Just Not Today":-
Someone I love has gone away
My heart is at a loss to say
How much they mean to me this day
Somehow I know I'll be okay
Just not today.
So much to do to honor them
So much has just begun
I know that I will have to change
And live knowing they are gone
Just not today.
The space inside me feels so vast
I wonder how long it will last
I want to live in our past
Time will heal this loss perhaps
Just not today.
