Dearest Nicole, I can't share a memory about your beautiful mom, but, I can share how you are such a beautiful legacy of her life as a mom, a woman and and beautiful living soul! You are one of the sweetest, tenderest and beautiful (inside and out) girlfriends…and that comes from being raised, much in part, by your beautiful mother! She surely imparted in you how to love and be loved, compassion, sweet and authentic character, kindness towards others that lights up a room! I KNOW how much you love your Mom, as you radiate your love for her when you spoke of her in the past, in your words when you called out for prayer upon her illness, and in her passing you have shown her such beautiful honor and love by your actions, emotions, words and written words! I would love to be with you today in Ft. Myers…its saddens me that I can't, but I thank God that He is there with you, your father, your family and all who love your beautiful Mom at her service today! I do, however, hold you so tightly in my heart!!! I have not stopped praying for you, your dad, family and your Mom's loved ones and dear friends to have the abundant comfort of our LORD! I love you and send my deepest sympathies to you now as your Mom's service is about 45 minutes from now…asking God to hold you so tight and pour out the peace of Jesus over you as you grieve her loss and celebrate your Mother, Dianna's AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL LIFE AND LEGACY that will live on and on through you, your dad, your family and all those she imparted her love and character into! I'm sending you a GIANT HUG of love and great compassion! With the amazing and beautiful love of Jesus,Toy Roxanne Wash (and John and our family)
Oh my, my dear Mrs. Evenson…to your bright smile, devotion to family, friends, and of course your loving husband Richard. I will always remember you as Diana and Dick…folks that have opened their arms to me for 40 years. From those Oatmeal Scotchies as a kid which I adored (no one makes them like you!), to the stories of your soul I remember from the years….staffing the suicide hotline, thinking about shoplifting to publish a "real-life" story of the sort, to those high heals you continuously rocked, to that beautiful home you designed in North Harbor on the golf course. Your love has, and will shine, through your magnificent family whom you not only groomed but adored.Your light shines on… In deepest admiration for a life well lived,Bowing deeply,Kate
I am sorry to say we did not know Dianna very well but met her and Dick at Buckingham Presbyterian Church as well as in River Hall where we live also. I really wish we had met when Dianna wasn't so ill as she always seemed like such a lovely person and a good Christian woman. We all know she is smiling down on us now from Heaven and she is no longer in pain. She is whole again as she had not been for several years. She is your Guardian Angel, Dick. She will be watching over you and the family always.Georgette and Joe Lundquist
Very beautifully said, and my deepest condolences to all. The brightest light and love is so vivid in her children, grandchildren, marriage, and of course, a mother like you….all the best. Kate
I could not possibly express the depth of love I have for my Mom. Her voice will remain with me always. That voice will forever guide me, caution me and comfort me as I continue to raise my family and look to the future. I smile when I think of all the things I learned at Mom's feet. Her passion, her dedication, and her faithful devotion to family will forever inspire me. I will miss her hugs, our debates, and our cocktails at 5! Mom, I know you are finally home and I will see you soon enough. I'm so grateful that Jesus has you and you are finally pain free. Don't worry Mom, I won't forget to put my best foot forward. Your loving daughter, Shauna
I only have happy memories of Di. She was always happy and cheerful. I could count on her being positive. One of the memories that stand out was a time I "hired" her to assist my ex-wife to decorate our home and give it a modern look. I knew if anyone had the patience to work with the ex it was Di. She diligently searched many stores over months to find the right items. I know she was frustrated but ALWAYS kept her smile and patience. I will be forever grateful to her for taking on that challenge and saving me from that terror. I love you Di and the Evenson clan!
As I reflect on my time with Di, there are so many FUN memories. One outstanding time was when we were all in Indiana, in the new house, that she had just beautifully decorated. I'm an east coast girl, so we don't have Kroger's. Lunch time came, and we had a spread fixed by Di, with probably the best sandwiches ever. It was all about the bread from Kroger's that she hand picked. Mark and I talk about that day quite often, comparing sandwiches to "Di's" bread. Often saying, "It's not as good as your Mom's". I think Nicole was pregnant with Nicholas and Mitchell was a baby. So, we've been reflecting on that special time with family for many years. That's what I will remember the most about Di, her love of being around her family, bringing everyone together with good food, wine and lots of laughter! We will miss you very much! Much love to the Evenson family! Mimi
