Dolores Ahlfeld's Obituary
Dolores (Dee) Ahlfeld passed away peacefully on August 26, 2017.Dee was born to Nicholas & Angelina Peluso in Newark, New Jersey on September 12, 1936. She attended Essex County Vocational & Technical High School graduating in 1954. She then went to work for New Jersey Bell, serving in various management and supervisory positions until retiring on February 19, 1987. Dee received an Associate in Arts Degree from the County College of Morris (NJ) in 1985. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and was Editor of their monthly newspaper Upstate Update for six years.Dee married Leonard Ahlfeld on September 4, 1976 and they settled in Morristown, NJ where Dee became active in the Friends of The Morristown Public Library. Dee and Leonard moved to Kelly Green Golf and Country Club in Fort Myers in 2002. They became involved with The Friends of Lakes Regional Library and Dee served as President of the Friends from January 2007 thru June 2014.A Memorial Service for Dee is being planned for the near future.
