Dona Noewer's Obituary
Dona Noewer, 86, of Punta Gorda, Florida, died peacefully in her sleep on February 18, 2024. She was born June 30, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dona was a stay-at-home Mom until her youngest child was in elementary school, followed by a long proud career working in the meat department for Fisher Fazios. Dona and her husband Frank moved from Ohio to Florida in the 1990s where she and Frank lived a great life, enjoying the beautiful weather, activities, great friends, and their home in paradise. Dona remained strongly connected to her family and friends in Ohio, as she and Frank traveled north to spend most summers with their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Everyone who knew her understood that what she loved most was spending time and talking with family and friends, near and far.
Dona is survived by her children, Robin Balogh (former son-in-law Bill Balogh), Dawn (Rick) Heath, and Frank (Sharon) Noewer; grandchildren, Nichole (John) Meyer, Teah Heath, Rachel Noewer, Teresa (Philip) Murphy; and great grandchildren Ayden Meyer, and Callum Murphy, sister Glenice Didio, and brother-in-law Ronald Pittock, and cherished nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Frank, parents Arthur and Ruth Teal; sisters Nina Pittock, Arline Chample, brother, Arthur Teal, and brother-in-laws, Bob Didio, and Don Chample (recently deceased), brother/sisters-in-law, Jim and Alma Kerns and Jean Pugsley, nephews Arthur Teal, Dale Chample and niece Janice Kerns.
Private family services will be held at a later date to honor Dona’s life.
