Donald "Donnie" Joseph Edwards' Obituary
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Donald “Donnie” Joseph Edwards, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend. Donnie passed away on August 29, 2025, leaving behind a life full of adventure, passion, and love. Formerly of Fairfax, VA he had been a resident of Fort Myers since 2019. He was born June 7, 1984 in Rochester, NY the son of Donald D. And Tuk Su. (Yim) Edwards.
Donnie was raised in Canton, MI and was a proud graduate of Michigan State University where he earned his bachelor's degree in property and construction management.
His career began in Washington, D.C. and he worked in Virginia, before he founded Axis Property Management in Fort Myers in March 2020. His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence helped shape a thriving business and lasting relationships in the community.
Donnie had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He found peace in fishing, joy in hiking, and excitement in attending music festivals and concerts. Whether he was exploring nature or dancing to live music, he did it with an unmistakable spark. Donnie's greatest joy in life was spending time with his children, creating memories they will carry forever. He also shared a special bond with his loyal dog, Rocky, who was always by his side.
He is survived by his loving children, Maya Edwards and Ethan Edwards, and their mother, Scheila Brambati all of Fort Myers, FL; parents, Donald and Tuk Su Edwards of Canton, MI; sisters, Jeannine (Jimmy) Reddy of Canton, MI, Cindy (Aaron) Cummins of Metamora, MI, Carrie (Alex) Henderson of Fort Myers, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 2, 2025 at 4:30 PM at Genitti’s, located at 108 E. Main Street, Northville, MI 48176. All who knew and loved Donnie are welcome to attend and share memories in his honor.
Donnie will be remembered for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
