Donald Lee Hopkins, 81, of Fort Myers, passed away October 15, 2012.?áHe was born June 6, 1931 in Jacksonville, Texas to the late Onnie and Ola (Vaughn) Hopkins.?áHe was in sales and marketing of technical equipment to the military and the Pentagon.?áDonald and his wife moved to Lee County in 2000 from Purcellville, Virginia.?áHe was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church.?áHe loved golfing, the beach and traveling in his RV. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Joyce; children, Brenda Hopkins Douglass and her husband Andrew of Purcellville, Virginia, Bruce Hopkins and his wife Kate of Camden, Maine, Jeffrey Lee Hopkins and his wife Carolyn of Lantana, Texas and Julie Hopkins of Richmond, Virginia; 4 grandchildren, Vy Vong, Erin, Amy and Alexander Lee Hopkins; and one great-granddaughter, Katie Vong. There will be a visitation on Friday, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.?áFuneral will begin at 1:00 PM followed by military honors and burial in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
