Donald Elmer Hurtle's Obituary
Donald E. Hurtle, age 90, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Ambassador Healthcare at College Park.
Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Donald lived in Linden and Lavalette, New Jersey. He left New Jersey and found “paradise” in Cape Coral. He lived in Florida for over 45 years. Donald proudly served in the US Navy on the USS Ticonderoga from 1955 – 1957. Professionally he worked for Exxon Mobile in Linden, New Jersey and the City of Cape Coral. Donald lived his passion for boating and flying his radio-controlled airplane with the Cape Coral Seahawks.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elard and Helen Hurtle of Cape Coral, Florida and is survived by his cousins Evelyn Bodnar, Barbara Suchorsky, Charlene Atkinson, and Jennifer Orlick.
In keeping with his wishes, Donald was cremated; interment and a celebration of life was on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida.
