Donald David LaBarre's Obituary
Donald D. LaBarre, 84, passed away peacefully at his home April 20, 2017. Born August 14, 1932 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, he worked on the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 42 years before retiring to Fort Myers, Florida.He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years LaVonne “Bonnie” Rantz LaBarre; his cherished daughters Karen Varble (John) of Carol Stream, Illinois, Kathy Thomas (Ted) of Overland Park, Kansas, Beth Newton (Leroy) of Carol Stream, Illinois, Jeanne Miller (Joe) of Carol Stream, Illinois and Cris LaBarre of Warrenville, Illinois. He also leaves behind Brother-in-law Jim Rantz and sister-in-law Pearl Rantz of Lino Lakes, Minnesota along with ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a number of extended family members and many more people who were proud to call Donald a friend.A Memorial Service for Donald will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 27, 2017 inside the Conference Center located at the Holiday Inn, 150 South Gary Avenue, Carol Stream, IL 60188, (630) 665-3000. Friends will be received for Visitation for an hour preceding this service beginning at 11:00 AM also at the Conference Center. The family will be attending Mass in memory of Donald at 9:00 AM the following day, Sunday, May 28, 2017, during the weekly Mass at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1415 W Lies Road, Carol Stream, IL 60188, (630) 483-4673. Donald will be laid to rest thereafter at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Lakewood Memorial Park, 30W730 US-20, Elgin, IL 60120, (847) 741-4040.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution in Donald’s memory to either of the following charities, Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, 16451 S.
