Donald C. Muhlenforth's Obituary
Donald C. Muhlenforth, 79, of Fort Myers, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016. He was born September 19, 1936 in New York City, NY to Henry and Gertrude (nee Altendorfer) Muhlenforth. He moved to Fort Myers in 1987 from New Jersey. He was a member of Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Claire Miceli. Mr. Muhlenforth is survived by his wife of 21 years, Dora Pais Muhlenforth. He was a beloved father to his children: Lori and Kenny Mondzelewski, Frank and Sandra Pais and Christopher Pais; a loving grandfather to: Michael, Christine, Emily and Alec; his brother-in-law, James Miceli; his nieces and nephews: Denise and Kevin Conway, James and Rose Miceli, Janice and Michael Dunn, Karen and Lennie Mormino and his grand nieces and nephews: Monica, Paige, Michael, Christopher, Morgan, Nicholas, Aidan, Olivia, Courtney and Samantha.Friends will be received from 4 – 6 PM Saturday, September 17 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with a prayer service conducted at 5:30 PM.Following local services, Mr. Muhlenforth will be transferred to New York City to be laid to rest in St. John’s Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, Queens, NY.
