Donald Wayne Pickens' Obituary
Donald Wayne Pickens, 88, of Lehigh Acres, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 Following an extended illness. He was born May 16, 1933 in Cedar Falls, IA to Joseph and Edith ((Kelley) Pickens. He moved to Florida in 1997 from Westminster, MD where he pastored at the Pentecostal Church. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Pastor Pickens is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean Pickens; his children: Jeffry Pickens (Cheryl) of Estero, Richard Pickens (Anne) of Virginia Beach, VA, Lisa Hallal (Louis) of Brooksville, FL, Beth Waddell (Dean) of Apison, TN and Melissa Smith (Jeff) of Lehigh Acres; his grandchildren: Nathan, Natalie, Joshua, Jonathon, Jenee, Jeremiah, Kiarra, Lauren and Benjamin; his great grandchildren: Raegan, Isaiah, Samuel, Mabry, Parker, Emmaline, Linnie, Caleb, Jaydon, Masie, Leelan, Drew, Malaki, Haylie and Logan and his siblings: Mary, Doris, Joyce, Bob, Dennis, Pat and Sandra.
