Donald Earl Rolls' Obituary
Donald E. Rolls, formerly of Lake Panasoffkee, passed away quietly on Sunday in the care of Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres, Florida, with his family by his side. Don was born and raised in Skaneateles, New York, and settled in Florida after serving in the US Navy from 1948-1952. He raised his family in Fort Myers where he began his long career in the US Postal Service. Don was a creative and hardworking man. He was involved with the Kiwanis Club and various charitable organizations, and was quick to lend a hand and a smile to friends and strangers alike. Don was preceded in death by his loving wife, Yvonne, and is survived by his children, Linda, David, Susan and Diane, and by Yvonne’s children, Mark, Karen and Ricky. He is also survived by his sisters Annie Clark and Arlene Hunt. There will be a private committal service at the National Cemetery in Bushnell this week. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity, or help your neighbor with that special project. He would have liked that.
