Donald R. Rice, 88, of Fort Myers, FL died April 12, 2016 at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday April 15, 2016 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Cremation rites will follow. Memorials: Loyal Order of the Moose Donald was born November 23, 1927 in Detroit, MI, the son of Howard and Anna (Newton) Rice. He married Wanda R. Munoz on August 18, 1998 in Allen Park, MI. He was a veteran of the US NAVY. Donald was a pipefitter for Detroit Edison retiring after 43 years of service. He was a member of the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and VFW. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Wanda; son, Glenn Rice of MI, Karen Fry and her husband James of St. Cloud, FL, and Anthony Angerilli of Hilton Head, SC. Preceding in death are his son, Donald. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Donald. Condolences may be left to the family at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
