Donald Ray Sitar's Obituary
Donald Ray Sitar, 73, of Fort Myers, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023 following a brief illness. He was born September 13, 1949 in Paw Paw, Michigan to Albert Matt and Alice Irene (Tarala) Sitar, and moved to Fort Myers in 2014. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Sitar; his children: Troy Sitar (Jennifer) of Michigan and Andrew Sitar of Fort Myers; his siblings: Albert Sitar, Vicki Sitar and Deborah McConnell (David) and his grandson, Brendan with whom he enjoyed attending his sports activities, practices and picking him up from school. Don is also survived by his sister-in-law Pamela Solitro (Joe), as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Don was an avid fisherman and while in Michigan, he and his son, Troy, co-founded the Paw Paw Hawg Hunters fishing club. He also loved landscaping, gardening, bowling and golfing. Since moving to Florida, Don enjoyed his morning walks and greeting his many dog friends who he always had a special treat for.
