Donald K. Stuart's Obituary
Donald K. Stuart, 68 of Lehigh Acres, Florida entered eternal life May 26, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. Formerly of Colorado, Don graduated in 1969 from Custer County High School. Attended Western State College, Gunnison Colorado and graduated with a BA in Business. He was a Water Commissioner for the State, Fire Chief and Town Manager of Westcliffe. He also owned Stuart Construction. Don enjoyed logging, hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, joking and spending time with lifelong friends celebrating the holidays. Living in Florida, Don worked at Jim Walter Homes, owned his own construction company and was the Construction Contractor Manager at Seven Lakes in Ft. Myers. When he retired he wrote a political book “Freedom Permits.” Don loved his country and was proud to be an American.Don is survived by his wife of 31 years, Darla Angels Stuart; sons, John and Craig; sister, Mary (Jerry) Seifert; brother, John “Mike” Stuart; seven grandchildren; one great grandchildren; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert F. and Margaret Stuart; as well as his brother, Herb.A Memorial Service will be celebrated 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft.
