Donald E. Tant's Obituary
Donald E. Tant, 79, of Fort Myers, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015. He was born August 5, 1935 in Phoenix City, AL and moved to Fort Myers from Georgia in 1965. He was the owner and operator of 60 Minute Dry Cleaners and Tailor Shop and was an owner and investor on North Captiva Island. His businesses are still family owned. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Mr. Tant is survived by his children: Vicki, Cyndi, Traci and Cheri and many foster children; his siblings: Charlie, Terry, Jerry and Ann Brandhurst. Also surviving are six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie L. Tant in 2012, his sister, Sherry Lloyd and his brother, Buddy Tant. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends will be received from noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1819 Hill Ave., Fort Myers, FL 33901.
