Donald John Weaver, Jr.'s Obituary
Donald John “Jack” Weaver, Jr., 82, previously of Spencerport, NY passed away on August 29, 2019 in Fort Myers, FL where he has resided for the past several years. He was born April 3, 1937 in Savannah, NY to the late Donald John Sr. and Nellie Maroney Weaver. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Goodlein Weaver and his younger brother Joseph Weaver.Jack graduated from the University of Rochester in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science Degree with distinction, after which he was employed by the Rochester Telephone Corporation, Eastman Kodak and finally, ISSC (Integrated Systems Solution Corporation), from which he retired in the summer of 1996. Early in his retirement, he was active in a local investment club and enjoyed researching companies in which to invest. Somewhat later, he developed a passion for exercise and worked out on a daily basis at the Westside Family YMCA. He began to spend winters in Cape Coral in 2012 and moved permanently in 2016, enjoying the warm air and view of the canal from his home’s lanai.He is survived by his second wife, Angie Zikos Weaver; two daughters, Carin Barwick (Dan) and Colleen Green (Tom); step-son, Jimmy Zikos; sister, Dr. Virginia Weaver (John Cook); brother, Richard Weaver (Abigail); three granddaughters, Laura, Leah and Kate; as well as many nieces and nephews including Alex Cook, Michael and Patrick Weaver.A Funeral Service will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 8210 Cypress Lake Drive, Ft. Myers, FL. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10.00 AM until the service time at the church. Interment will follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft.
