Donald Ray Westberry's Obituary
Donald Ray Westberry, 73, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL since the early 70’s passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 13, 2021 in Fort Myers, FL. He was born May 15, 1948 in Waycross, GA to the late Raymond and Pauline Westberry.
Donald was a proud United States Army Veteran. He worked for the Lee County School District at Allen Park Elementary School as a teacher in the gifted program until his retirement. He loved to hike, fish, hunt, camp, and most of all play his guitar. He gave generously of his time caring for his ill father-in-law. Donald was always ready for the next adventure around the corner. He had a passion for learning and continued to acquire knowledge his entire life.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Pamela Westberry of North Fort Myers, FL; one daughter, Stephanie Doolittle of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one sister, Martha Tyre (Buster) of Waycross, GA; three grandchildren, Brian, Kaitlyn and Shawn; several great grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:30, Friday, January 7, 2022 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL. Inurnment will follow in the Cremation Garden of Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
