Our dearly beloved father, Donald L. Wiley (79) of Cape Coral, Florida, peacefully entered into Heaven on May 22, 2010.Our father was pre-deceased by his parents Albert and Ethel Hill Wiley of Farmington, Missouri and by his high school sweetheart Melba J. Wiley. He is survived by his six children: Saundra LeClair (Al) of Charlotte, NC, Robin Robinson (Jimmy) of Memphis, TN, Damon Wiley (Melanie) of Lafayette, LA, Dawn Ford (Randy) also of Memphis, Chris Wiley (Karen) of Cape Coral, FL., and Jay Wiley (Kathy) of New Orleans, LA. Thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by eight siblings: Nellie Wiley, Erma Gallagher, Marilyn Wiley, LaVerne Hulsey, Albert Bernard Wiley, Homer Wiley, Barbara Govero, and Jetrude Reese all of Farmington, Missouri.Don was employed by St. Joe Lead of Farmington, Missouri, Retail Credit Corporation of Festus, Missouri, J.I. Case Corp. of St. Louis, State Farm Insurance in Fort Myers, Florida, and was retired from D.A. Lubricant Corp. of Orlando, Florida . Don also worked various part-time jobs over the years both before and after retirement. Don had a love for sports his entire life. He played semi-pro baseball, was an award winning spring board diver, and he played recreational softball in his post retirement years. More than all of the above, our Dad loved the Lord Jesus Christ and served him through the local church his whole life. He was the best father anyone could ask for and he was loved and admired by everyone who was blessed to have known him.The family requests in lieu of flowers send donations to Hope Hospice of Cape Coral, FL Services will be held at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, May 24th.
