Donna Mae Bright's Obituary
Donna Mae Bright was born July 28, 1929 and passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 30, 2021. She is in heaven with her wonderful husband James O. Bright. She is survived by her three beautiful children, Bill Bright (Karla), Bobby Bright (Sandy) and Mary Bright Casella (Mike). She also leaves behind her three wonderful grandchildren, Mike Lyons, Ashley Moore and Jillian Hanson; three great grandchildren Dystinee Lyons, Ruby Bright Lyons and Noah Pinney. He lifelong career was a Registered Nurse. She was very talented and compassionate during her career. She loved traveling with her husband around the world, enjoying their lives together to the fullest. She was also a huge NASCAR fan, keeping scores in her little book every week and always rooted for "Her Tony" (Stewart). She was a cherished Mom and "Mamaw," and will be greatly missed. We love you "Big D."
A Visitation for Donna will be held beginning at 9:30 AM on Friday, January 7, 2022 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Mass of Christian Burial for Donna will thereafter be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord, 8121 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, Florida 33919, (239) 481-7171. At the conclusion of this Funeral Mass, family and friends will travel to Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Donna will be laid to rest alongside her dearly departed husband James at the Raised Lawn Veteran's Garden section of the cemetery which is adjacent to the Iwo Jima Statue.
