Donna Lee Coffee's Obituary
Donna Lee Coffee passed away peacefully in Ft. Myers, FL on June 14, 2026. Born July 11, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Col. F. H. Privette and Dorothy (Smading) Privette, she was raised in Missoula, Montana.
In 1956 the family relocated to Ft. Myers, where Donna attended Ft. Myers High School. After graduating from Florida Southern College in 1962, she began her teaching career at Beach Elementary, later moving to Heights Elementary. For 35 years she taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade classes, making a lasting and positive impact on hundreds of Lee County Students.
After retirement, Donna enjoyed RV travel, wildlife viewing, reading, puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her older brother F. H. “Sonny” Privette Jr. (Maggie), and her husband Jerell D. Coffee. She is survived by her daughter Dr. Janna Underhill (Andrew Wehle), son Daniel F. Underhill (Tammy), and many cousins across the U.S.
