Donna Jean Owsley's Obituary
Donna Jean McPeak Owsley, 75, was called home to her Lord on October 4, 2012.?á Mrs. Owsley was born August 8, 1937, in Macomb, IL, the third of five children, to Rose and Earl McPeak.Donna and James R. Owsley were married October 12, 1952 in Blandinsville, IL, to this union were born four daughters and one son, Janice Kay, Eva Jean, Joyce Ann, David Eugene and Joanna Lea. They have been blessed with nine grandchildren, Terri (Patrick) Barnett, Brigitte Russo, Michael Rusher, Kathy (Mark) Sergi, Mark Crabill, Benjamin Crabill, David Crabill, Daniel Schenck and Melissa Schenck and ten ?ágreat-grandchildren. Upon her move to Florida, Mrs. Owsley continued working until her retirement in 2005.?á During her retirement she and James had more free time to spend with their family and friends in Florida and Illinois. They enjoyed cruising and traveling. She devoted her life to her family and all who have had the pleasure of knowing Donna have known her as a caring, giving woman who was one of the nicest people you would ever know.?á Her family is heartbroken that she is no longer here but her strong spirit is with all of us.Left to cherish her memory are, James, daughters, Janice Russo, Eva Warren, Joyce Crabill (Linda), Joanna Schenck (Paul), sister, Dorothy Wisslead, brothers, Kenneth McPeak and Jerry Shoemate. She is now reunited with her parents, son David and brother, James E. McPeak.There are no services scheduled at this time as Mrs. Owsley is returning home to La Harpe, Illinois.?á The family wishes to thank the staff and Jack Covert at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home for their compassionate attention given to the family during this difficult time.
