Doris C. Wainscott's Obituary
Doris C. Wainscott of North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 19, 2017 in her home. She was 84. She was born April 17, 1932 in Windsor Locks, Connecticut; the beautiful daughter of the later Seraphin and Laurina Colo. Doris worked as a keypunch operator for the Terry Steam Company. She was a strong Italian woman who was strongly committed to her faith as a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. Doris was deeply devoted to her family and enjoyed countless good times with friends and family. She will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband, William Grabowski (1973); her second husband, Harry Wainscott(1998) a daughter, Lauren Gifford and 2 sisters, Helen Hillery and Ruth Traska. She is survived by her daughter Dale (Cliff) Nelson; her son, Mark (Claudette) Grabowski; her sister, Rena Colo and her granddaughter, Jamielee Gifford. A memorial mass will be held 11am Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at St. Therese Church 20115 N. Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers, FL 33903; Rev. Tom Heck, Pastor, officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, William, in Connecticut. Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is serving the family.
