Dorothy Sonner Baker, 87 of Palm Bay, FL died Sunday, May 31, 2009. She was born October 4, 1921 in Piketon, OH the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Sonner. On August 17, 1941, Dorothy was united in marriage to George Dale Baker who preceded her in death in April 1994.She is survived by her son David (Donna) Baker of Springboro, OH, her two granddaughters, Amy (Chris) Phillips of Springboro, OH and Kristin (Keith) Spitznagel of Cincinnati, OH; her daughter Bonita Hammond of Indialantic, FL and her three grandsons: Geoffrey (Shawn) Hammond of Orlando, FL, Jason (Jody) Hammond of Brooklyn, NY and Jeremy (Joy) Hammond of Brooklyn, NY; her great-granddaughter Violet Jo Hammond of Brooklyn, NY; her sister Donna (Bob) Anderson of Kent Washington.Dorothy was a Kroger Employee for many years in Columbus, OH and a Gulf Coast Hospital Volunteer in Fort Myers, FL after retirement.Funeral services will held at 10:30 AM Friday, June 5, 2009 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. The family has requested donations to the American Lung Association.
